Bike store owners put theirspin on new bike-share,题材为议论文。

A few days later, We visited LasVegas and Grand Canyon for three days. On July 13th,We went toHoover Damfirst. It's the highest dam in the U.S.A. It started to buildin1931, and 1935 - The Hoover Dam, astride the border between the U. S.states of Arizona and Nevada, was dedicated. The Hoover Dam is221 meters high and 379 meters long. 112 people died during building the Dam. HooverDam provided the two key ingredients - water and power - that freed theSouthwest and southern California to go on a 75-year growth spurt.

. Then we went to Las Vegas andstayed in Circus Hotel. We went to see the music performances at OldStreet and watched the shows .It was perfect!

The next days , We went to GrandCanyon, it took 3 hours for us to get there by bus. We were surprised at thescenery of the Grand Canyon, thegreat valley in the desert country of Arizona. But you must gothere yourself to feel its true size and beauty. The Grand Canyon is one of thegreatest natural wonders of the world.

The Colorado River formed theGrand Canyon over millions of years. Slowly, the river cut down throughhard rocks. At the same time, the land was rising.

Today, the canyon is one and ahalf kilometers deep and 445 kilometers long. The oldest rocks at thebottom of the canyon are more than one billion years old. There aredifferent kinds of plants and animals on opposite sides of the canyon. TheSouth Rim is a dry desert country. The North Rim has tall forest.

You can walk down into the GrandCanyon, or you can take a boat trip down the Colorado River, and camp onthe beaches at night. But whether you see the Grand Canyon from the top orthe bottom, or from the North Rim or South Rim, it will be an experiencethat you will never forget.

三、 My first Lucky Angle—Linda Nelson

On Thursday July 16th, I got upearly at 5:00 a.m. My aunt cooked the breakfast for me and took me down to theOlive St, the taxi that my aunt called yesterday was waiting there.

I got into the taxi and went to LosAngeles Airport. It took me 40 minutes to Los Angeles Airport.

The driver was Chinese. He was from Guangdong,he spoke to me in Chinese with Guangdong tone. He has been in Los Angeles formore than 40 years. He told me many things what to do or not in America. That'svery important! I felt that was kind and warm, so we didn't stop talking untilI left his taxi. What a warm-hearted fellow-town’s man!

I have never seen this kind ofcheck before I walked past the Los Angeles Airport security check’s desk. All people must take off theircoats and shoes , and also belts or bags or other forbidden objects.

When I sat in the waiting hall, Imet my first angle in America. Her name was Linda Nelson. Although she was over70 years, she also looked very healthy and young! When she knew my tour’s plan, she started to care my journey.

When I asked her” Which is better , take atrain or a bus from Washington to New York?’

She answered” I think you shouldtake an Amtrak to New York”

“An Amtrak?” I don’t understand whatshe said “I beg your pardon!”

She explained” We Americans call“Amtrak”, it’s the same meaning as your train”

“Your Train. Our Amtrak “

I said“ Oh ,I see , thank you verymuch”

“You’re welcome, it’s my pleasure!

Then she took out of her mobilephone and helped me to look for the more Amtrak information and it showed thatit took 3 hours 35 minutes to get to New York.

She also helped me to check whathotels I booked they were! She found that I booked two hotels in WashingtonD.C. One was “Best western” , the other one was “Key Bridge Marriott”. The KeyBridge Marriott’s address was at “1401 Lee Highway ArlingtonVirginia 22209 USA”, I booked it from “ Booking.com” .She found out there wereshuttles from hotel to airport !

Several dozen rental bikes were lined up on Weehawken St.last Sunday behind the store. Benny, who was watching over them, said anotheradvantage over the Citi Bikes is that Waterfront’s bikes are all in goodworking order。

C)Highly standardized•teaching methods.

一、 Los Angeles

The actual Citi Bikes themselves have been criticized as“heavy,” “clunky,” even “ugly。” In comparison, Crooks said NYC Velo has bikesthat are “lighter, faster and tend to be more comfortable。” Farrell ofWaterfront also said his bikes are of “better quality” than the bike-sharetwo-wheelers。

“It seemed like a great idea, but one that would bedifficult to implement,” Crooks said of Citi Bike. He said he worried about inexperiencedriders’ lack of awareness of biking rules and backlash from non-cyclists.However, he said, it’s still too early to tell if his business has beenimpacted。

D)Qualified teachers are far from adequately paid.

57.【C】 It saw its bike sales on therise。

  39. K 本空所在分句“_____in November in a report called ‘Is it in us?’by an environmental group”作为插入语修饰主语the results,已知部分的意思可以理解为“11月,在由一个环保组织所做的名为‘是我们吗?’
